Hi, I'm Charlotte
I've been teaching hypnobirthing since 2021 and through the experience of my clients - and my own birth experiences, I've seen first hand how fear, anxiety and pressure has a huge impact on birth experiences.
I became a hypnobirthing instructor to change that - one birth experience at a time.

My
Story
Why I teach hypnobirthing
Becoming a parent was the single most important moment of my life, although I didn’t realise it at the time – I was far too afraid.
I decided to become a hypnobirthing teacher because I truly believe that every woman can have a birth experience that makes them feel empowered. I want you to understand your choices, feel confident in your birth choices and (believe it or not) enjoy your birth experience!
About Me.
I live in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and I'm mum to 3 kids, and dog mum to my work bestie Wilson the giant schnauzer.
I am absolutely passionate about birth and supporting women and birthing people so they can have better birth experiences. My teaching is based on knowledge, education and mindset - the three things I believe are the most important when it comes to preparing for the best birth possible.

My birth experiences
My first birth
Hospital birth
Emergency C-Section
As a first time mum - I did NCT so I had the knowledge but I had done no work at all on mindset. I was anxious and really scared about becoming a mum - would I be any good?
I was "overdue" (40+8) when my waters released and I was over the moon! I already felt like I'd failed because I hadn’t given birth on my due date or anywhere near it!
This labour and birth was so complex - I experienced PROM (premature rupture of membranes), induction (via syntocinon drip), morphine for pain relief, a nuchal cord, an epidural for my emergency c-section and special care. I then suffered postnatal depression, couldn’t breastfeed (because of the trauma) and struggled to bond with my baby.
My second birth
Hospital - vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC)
I came to hypnobirthing in my second pregnancy - I decided I had to do something to change the way this labour and birth was going to go. I borrowed a book from the library about hypnobirthing at 39 weeks pregnant! Its fair to say I never finished that book, but what I did read gave me perspective, taught me to trust myself and my body.
My second birth was incredible. Yes, I really, truly mean that. In fact, I was so amazed by what I had achieved, I stayed awake the whole night just looking at my daughter in total wonder and feeling so flipping proud of myself. She slept the whole night (she was born at 8pm), its fair to say I did somewhat regret the decision to stare at her all night because the next night she didn’t sleep at all!
My third birth
Hospital water birth
Going into my third pregnancy I thought, well if a few chapters of a book can do that, what could a whole course do? So I found a course with a local Calm Birth School instructor and it was amazing.
I had been told time and time again I could never have a water birth because my first baby was born by caesarean. Wrong! With the right midwife and the right belief, my third baby was born in the water.

You don't have to
do this alone
There is a better way to experience pregnancy, labour and birth and I'm here to show you how.
